What J.D. Gordon creates with Caribbean Calling, the second entry in his series featuring the engaging, reluctant hero, Eddie Gilbert, is a character who is everything readers want him to be.  Eddie, Chicago native and firefighter/paramedic, is multi-faceted and we know his strengths and weaknesses.  We’ve seen bits and pieces of his bravery, honesty, honor and humility in everyone from Brett Maverick to Travis McGee.
